The Hermanus Wine and Food Route (also known as the Hemel-en-Aarde Wine Valley), is known for its lush Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines.
Hermanus is also known as the land-based whale watching capital of the world and a visit between the months of May to September will ensure great whale sightings.
It is worth mentioning that it is well worth staying in this wine area for at least 2 nights due to all the magnificent wine and food activities as well as the farmer’s markets (especially on weekends).
Most of the Hermanus wine estates offer wine and food tours and pairings of some sort.
You can now also visit this lovely wine region on a private day tour.
Between the months of May to September we can combine mouth-watering wine tastings with whale watching.
